Responsibilities:

Product Portfolio Management

  • Interact with peers and customers to understand business needs that define software requirements
  • Establish knowledge of markets, research market trends, identify competitive opportunities
  • Participate in all phases of product development, adhering to and expanding an established SDLC.
  • Become a product expert, assuring that SDLC process outputs correctly meet the needs of both our customers and our collective team goals
  • Own and maintain a large product backlog of product change request
  • Work with cross-functional team members to prioritize and organize themes of changes

Product Development

  • Translate change requests during Scoping phases into detailed functional and system requirements
  • Lead release Design phases to effectively communicate excepted results to developer and quality teams
  • Act as the interface between product stakeholders, engineering, and quality assurance team members
  • Apply agile principles to organize and oversee sprint plans; align cross-functional resources to deliver quality outputs in a timely manner
  • Drive agile iterations through each phase of the SDLC to assure successful product delivery

Product Success

  • Be a product change champion internally and externally with team members, customers, and prospects
  • Communicate software features and changes in a way that facilitates team understanding of the product value application for sales, development, customer relations, training, and support
  • Be a partner with sales and customer relations to establish compelling production presentations that facilitate new customer conversions, expand existing customer growth, and foster customer retention
  • Understanding applicable regulations to apply related procedures and software configurations needs
  • Track and report metrics that help the team understand the effectivity

Skills and Experience:

  • Education: B.S. in computer science or related experience
  • Experience: 7 + years of software product or portfolio management
  • Analytics: Strong ability to unpack, understand and improve business process
  • Innovation: Adaptive thinking skills, able to identify and apply innovative solutions for challenging needs
  • Technology: Excellent software skills with an ability to unpack, explore and master software abilities
  • Leadership: Able to drive successful collaboration with direct reports as well as cross-functional resources
  • Methodology: Highly experienced in Agile software development lifecycles, sprint planning and execution

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in Software UI/UX Design
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps
  • Commanding understanding of all phases of SDLC
  • Experience with SDLC toolsets that drive iteration cycle-time efficiencies
  • Ability to demonstrate software features and provide user training
  • Understanding FDA regulations, validation, or life sciences experience is a plus
  • End-to-end understanding of software marketing, sales, feature-finding, development, testing, training, support, deployment, and customer success
